America the Great has raised itself up and worshipped its own technology. It has raised itself up and worshipped its own design. It has raised itself up and worshipped its own might. To the degree she has lived luxuriously, she will receive double for her sins.

America has exalted itself more than any other nation and with the advent of the international space station, she has literally built a nest among the stars.

The Lord has continued to give his warnings to the people of America time and again over the years. The disaster of the space shuttle Columbia is one such example. The Columbia is named after the capital of the United States - The District of Columbia. The crash of the shuttle contains a prophetic message to the people of America. The Columbia disaster is a forshadow of God casting down the capital of America, for when you lose your capital, you lose your country. The headlines read "The Columbia is Lost". The message: America is lost and your judgment has begun.

9-11 was another one of those warnings!

GOD’s judgments contain a similar pattern each time; those who do not study history, are destined to repeat it.

We are commanded again to watch in order to escape.

Ancient Babylon was not destroyed with fire. This Babylon will be destroyed with fire.

In 538 B.C. Ancient Babylon was conquered. John wrote the book of Revelation in 90-93 A.D. some 629 years later. If this verse in Revelation 18:8 was referring to Ancient Babylon, John would merely be reading from the recorded text of Ancient History. This Babylon in Revelation 18 is a future Babylon.

 In Hal Lindsey's new book, Apocalypse Code on page 139 it states this, "several nuclear scientists theorize that 20 to 30 nuclear warheads detonated within close proximity of time and space in mid-America could cause a fire storm that would sweep from the Appalachians to the Rocky Mountains." This is all it takes for America to burn in one day.

This is indicating that world commerce is stopping, a complete economic collapse.

Ancient Babylon was not wholly desolate. When the Medes and Persians invaded in the middle of the nights, the people were overrun and woke up under a new government. They did not have to flee, animals did not have to migrate out of the land.
