There
is a widespread believe today that America is somehow strangely absent from the
prophetic writings. It is also believed among Christians that we cannot tell for
sure whether we are living in the last days or not. This site is going to challenge
these common held views.
We should be aware of the things that are happening around us. I pray that we would be able to heed the
warnings of our Lord, that we would not be hardened to the truth lest we be
unprepared for what is to come. Prophecy skeptics will
no doubt quote the verse "No man knows the day or the hour when this earth
shall
pass away" (Matthew 24:36). And of course no one will know the exact day or hour of
that event, but we are given many signs of the impending judgments that will
precede His return to earth. Throughout the scriptures we are commanded to watch
to know the season we live in. Twentieth century technology has increased, not a little at a time, but exponentially. From the Garden of Eden until the beginning of the twentieth century, men walked or rode horses just as King David and Julius Caesar did. In the span of a few years, however, mankind invented the automobile, the jet plane, rockets, and the space shuttle. With the use of television, radio and the internet you can drown yourself in information. Medical science has the ability to keep a corpse breathing for months on life support. Tiny babies weighing less than one pound can survive outside the womb, and babies can undergo surgery before they are born. We can repair DNA before a child is conceived; we can clone sheep, mice, and cattle. We have grasped the mystery of the atom and the list goes on. Also consider the two world wars that both took place shortly one after another in the last century alone. And wars are multiplying amongst the nations to such an extent as if another world war were about to form. Furthermore natural catastrophes and epidemics are heaping up like at no time before. This time of persecution precedes the tribulation and will come suddenly as a snare! Are we emotionally and spiritually prepared for the sudden and intense persecution which is about to fall upon us; and when it comes, and it will surely come, will we be ready?
In the twentieth century, the world has witnessed the budding of the Fig tree, which is the restoration of the nation of Israel back to their land. This is the sign spoken of by the prophets signaling we are in the last days, and that the LORD is coming back soon. Jesus spoke of this sign in a parable. The LORD taught many parables, but this was the only one He instructed us to learn the meaning of, for this is the sign that He is standing at the door. It is midnight, and mankind doesn't know it. America is in trouble because America forgot who she once was. Our forefathers were men of prayer. The United States was built on the foundation of the Word of God. The Christian Pledge Of Allegiance Who will you pledge allegiance to? The United States is not great
because of its armies, or its wealth, or its people. It is great because of God
who gave his understanding and heart to our forefathers. The United States of
America will only remain strong as long as its people seek God, and remain true
to him. After the terrorist attacks of
September 11, 2001, America as a nation asked God for blessings. But there is
something we have not done. We have not asked
God to forgive us. Our leaders have not asked God to forgive us. As Christians we should be strangers and pilgrims on the earth (Hebrews 11:13), sojourners, realizing our days on earth are as a shadow (1 Chronicles 29:15). We should desire a better place, a heavenly homeland (Hebrews 11:16). |
